November Feelings
~by Rukmini Podder
Happy November!
My favorite month of the year (not just because I’m a Scorpio) but because of the “in between” space it represents for me.The holiday season comes and with it - excitement and exhaustion. The year is nearly over - but there’s still a little more surprise left for me. There is longing in the air and a space to feel grief - but also romance and love. I seek comfort but also wisdom through the lessons of the trees. It’s a month of depth. It’s also a month of chaos and festivities (and birthdays!). It’s a not-quite-the-end of the year that fills me with eager anticipation to enter a new chapter and also the strong desire to savor every last day of this year. What about you? What feelings does November bring you?

When Great Trees Fall: Animation
Last year, after hearing of the passing of our beloved Bhakti Caru Maharaj we posted this poem called, When Great Trees Fall, by Maya Angelou. My dear friends: the artist, Rukmini Poddar, created this beautiful and poignant video animation, with kirtaneer, Jahnavi Harrison reading the poem, along with music by Night Squall, Bowspirit, and Balmorhea.I hope you find it as beautiful and moving as I did.All the best,Rukmini Walker[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu2pki6owJg[/embed]
